ICVWW is the UK centre for the study of women writers of the long nineteenth century. We work with an international network of scholars to showcase research through conferences, collaborative publications and events.
The centre curates important special collections and makes them available to researchers and the public, by appointment and through outreach and study days.
Current interests include textual editing and histories of reading, life writing, crime and sensation fiction, New Woman literature, childhood and literary networks in the nineteenth century.
